Koi has a cut lip

woke up this morning and noticed that my koi, asagi has a cut on his lip?

i was initially not sure if its a ulcer, a cut or sore
but as this happened over night, i think it should be a cut
since it looks like its a loose flap, rather than an additional tissue growth

i googled but minimum news/advise on cut lips

anyone experience anything similar before?

read to use Popolis to try sealing it?
