Pretty poor performance in the 2nd half and allowed the game to go to 3-2 before a brillant solo run by Lingard to ease the pressure with a beautiful goal to restore the 2 goals margin (4-2) which was the final score.
In fact it was all the way Watford attacking till the 80th mins Lukaku was very short of confidence tonight as he missed many chances. Lingard was my MOTM Overall VL gave a good account of his defensive role as was Smalling |

Good 3 points against a Watford side that has been playing well lately. Rojo has been punished for his tackle this time and he has made many of these previously. Second goal for Watford was due to poor marking. Watford were committing everyone in the second half, so many players forward.
Didn't expect Young to score 2 goals and maybe that why LVG played him as a centre forward previously. Lingard scored a great solo goal to ensure the 3 points. Lukaku missed a great chance to score, took too long. Hope Matic is all right. Last edited by KeeHuat; 29-11-2017 at 07:37 AM. |

Let's hope Matic's injury isn't too serious but JM's suggestion that it was a muscle injury that could sideline him for a period of time.

3 pts in the bag. poor performances by the lads in the 2nd half.
Loves the shock expression on JM's face when Young scored the free-kick. Linderloft has another good game. |

Manchester United give Nemanja Matic injury update Nemanja Matic came off in the Man Utd win vs Watford ahead of crucial Premier League fixtures vs Arsenal and Man City next month. Nemanja Matic could be an injury doubt for Manchester United's Premier League fixture at Arsenal after he had to come off in the win at Watford. The 29-year-old was replaced in the 54th-minute by Ander Herrera, who was instructed to warm-up at the start of the second-half in United's thrilling 4-2 victory at Vicarage Road. Matic limped off the pitch after struggling to continue in the second-half and the Serbia midfielder was spotted walking gingerly through the stadium's mixed zone. When United manager Jose Mourinho was asked about Matic's injury, he replied: "He's injured but I don't know [the extent]. He told me he needs to come out." United travelled to Watford without the injured Marouane Fellaini and could be without fellow midfielder Matic for their tea-time clash at The Emirates Stadium on Saturday. That could result in a recall for Herrera, who has started the last three league games on the substitutes' bench. Herrera has lined-up five times against Arsenal, scoring two goals. With Michael Carrick recovering from a heart procedure, United could be without up to three central midfielders at Arsenal. Mourinho switched to a three-man midfield at Watford, with Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard pushed ahead of Matic in a 3-5-2 formation, and Lingard could continue in the central role following his stunning solo goal at Watford. Scott McTominay was named on the bench again at Watford and made his career debut as a substitute at Arsenal in May. The 20-year-old Lancastrian has yet to start a league game for United. |
