Liverpool to report Spartak
A bit of sad news to bring you from this afternoon’s match at Prenton Park. Liverpool will report Spartak Moscow to UEFA after Rhian Brewster was allegedly racially abused by a Spartak Moscow player. Steven Gerrard was asked for his comments after the match, and had this to say: “It’s difficult for me to comment on it right now. It’s something that the club will look into and deal with. “I’d rather talk about Rhian Brewster’s performance. I don’t want to take any gloss off that because he was superb. The only thing that was missing from his performance was a goal. He held the ball up so well and put in a shift for us.” |

So who could Liverpool draw if they won their group?
Only half the picture is clear after Tuesday's games, with Groups A to D now finished. But here is what we know so far. Liverpool could face: Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Shakhtar OR Napoli, Porto OR RB Leipzig, Real Madrid What about if they finish second, then? Well, that would potentially be a nightmare. Firstly, it should be remembered out that Liverpool cannot be drawn against any English teams – and three of those have secured that honour already. Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham have already qualified as group winners, meaning the Reds could not meet them in the last 16. That leaves just four potential opponents, the winners of Groups B, C, D and G. Liverpool cannot be drawn against any team that was in their own qualification group, Group E. All of those have already been decided. Liverpool could face: Paris St-Germain, Barcelona, Roma, Besiktas |

Henderson surprise
Klopp always seems to spring one surprise, doesn’t he? I think most fans will have got 10 out of 11 on their team selection prediction. I thought it would be either Can or Wijnaldum but in fact it’s both and Henderson misses out. That will be gutting for the captain, especially with the stakes so high tonight. |
