A Chinese bone setter once scold me when I admitted having e habit of neck cracking. Warned me to stop it as it can do a lot of damage.
Since then (long ago), I've not done those kind of cracking except e type where I stretch. Also don't allow masseuse to do it. |

I like to crack my fingers...now my right hand middle finger pain for two mths alr and difficult to bend and point straight. Of course no more pointing middle finger.
So how, tell doc "Doc I cant point middle finger"? |

That's knuckle(metacarpal-phalangeal joint) of the 4th finger(ring finger) being arrowed.
Either : you pull the finger away from palm/hand (ie pull the joint apart, crackling it) or you "play piano" by pressing down the painful knuckle while supporting the neighbouring knuckles from below to stabilize the neighbouring knuckles(crackling will happen after repeated key pressing)
