Need advise with aro eye injury.
really frustrated, my Elkindo red has been able to pass into my comm tank again.
he's quite aggressive. noticed my VIP reds eye is injured. I've already dosed with salt and Ocean free yellow powder, i used 4 sachets on my 350 gallon + 120 gal sump. is the 4 sachet too little? should i add more? any advise to make recovery smoother? hope the eye recovers, not sure if its injury or cloudy eye, but cloudy eye most likely due to injury. would really appreciate advise. Ive already separated him from the comm. I do notice the Elkindo seems to target this vip red when in the comm. |

The eye looks quite bad. I only use OF yellow powder sparingly. Add a bit till water light yellow colour. Dosage of 4 packets seem to be too high. Any comment from other user?
Yellow powder will also kill your bb in the sump. Usually for cloudy eye, just wc and salt will cure it in the initial stage. This may not work for Your aro as it's eye condition is quite severe. |

Ya sometimes the disease spread really fast. Continue to change water regularly and add in bb to replace those bb killed by the medicine.
Before I add yellow powder, I will lower the tank water to just above my aro height and then add in yellow powder. Treat my fish without running the sump so fewer bb will be killed during the treatment |

I'm hoping he'll recover quickly. i'll get some filter media from my other tanks after treatment is completed. |
