Speaking of filters, i really went one big round. Seeing that the Hof that came with the tank is really small and underpowered at rated 200l/hr went to buy Gex S Hof but there is an irritating hum. So switched to eheim 2041, one big monster of Hof although motor is silent but the cap keep rattling. Haha. So went back to the small Hof and replaced the fine wool given and skimmer, flow improved so sticking with that.

Jig, is 2213 overpowered for a 1ft? Did you lower the flowrate?

Looks great! With the angle of the light the wood looks pretty freshly cut though.

Seaview has quite a few types of clear hoses, mostly rubber ones. I didn't take a closer look at the plastic ones though. Wife wasn't too keen to hang around there.

Any reason for the sponge? It will seriously restrict the flow of your small filter.

Don't worry too much about the HC. You are not alone. When I have the time I will try growing them again.
