How to treat injured arowana in pond?
How do you treat an injured arowana in pond? Also what do you use or treat with? My newly added aro who thought he was the boss, o think he is hurting now , he's not starting any trouble now, and staying at the buttom
Of the pond with his injuries, i've increased the salt content to 1 tablespoon per 3.5 gallon water , any thing else i can do to help? I'm thinking if i should take him out and try to treat in the tank? He was quite aggressive when newly added for 2-3 Days , but his injuries Might be hurting now |

maybe u can just separate him for few days using pvc pipe & mesh divider , best option as its simple to build and set up no need for a very big space , i guess 4 x 3 ft will do since only holding him for few days. alternatively u can make those floating cages. all the best

Bro, i had the same thing happened here. The 2 aros that I brought back from my office, are chased and attacked by the other Alpha pair and also by all the other aros... Both of them now hide themselves at the back of my pond. It had been 2weeks and I just hope the fight or bully will stop soon.... Really headache 😓 good luck to both of us 😅

Bro, how long do we need to partition the new fish before letting them go and mix with the rest? Once you remove the partition, wont they fight to see who is the Alpha? I intend to get few more aros but now a bit scared to intro new fish...

Thanks guys! Yup this one was the one causing trouble, at first the others were not attacking him , he was the alpha for a few
Days , then i think infection set In to his wounds. He is now in a hospital tank , i treated with yellow powder, i will raise the concentration of salt , hope he gets well soon. |
