We can see why JM is so adamant on buying defenders. Other then Smailing and Shaw, all the others were poor in the 2nd half.
Up front, RL far too slow to react. JL too much running without much purpose. Truly a game of two halves. At the 80th min mark, we had 20 shots with only 3 on target And Spurs punished us once again with the 3rd goal from their 4th attempt at goal. But this time it is Smailing at fault Last edited by lenghan; 28-08-2018 at 05:42 AM. |

January transfers will be too late for us to make up for whatever differences we would/could be losing.
ESPN pundits were mostly unkind in their words to JM and are advocating that he and Woodward should leave the club in order to save the club |

Didn’t watch the match last night but from the highlights I thought we did quite well during the 1st half

But truth be told....our defending pathetic Our strikers....as usual not sharp....taking more than 20 shots without converting any. These were already apparent in the first half despite playing good attacking game. If we don't score and yet concede, that is an outright recipe for failure |

Great to see Shaw playing well. Hopefully the rest can play with confidence and with their hearts too

!st half we were better but unable to score.
The best player is Shaw. he only needs to work more on his crossing and shooting. from the report, JM gave a long applause at our fans suggested that either he was showing his appreciation to the fans or he will be leaving the club. His outburst during the press conference does not help him at all. |

Storming off in the midst of post match conference portrays an extremely bad image for the club he represents. Yet he kept reminding the media of his past achievements (worst..with other clubs), which in truth, counts for nothing today, unless he keeps emulating that feat of winning titles. The only positive this time around though is his reluctance to critique his players and was indeed a nice gesture when he embraced Shaw at the end of the game. Maybe....a little too late???? |

I do not like Lukaku at all since he joined the Club.
He is a striker who only have one trick, which is to attack for headers. When he have the ball, his closed control is not good enough, and when he is faced with a chance to shoot at the keeper or without the keeper, he is not confident enough or tends to hurry his shots. The only consolation is that Shaw is doing quite well. Hopefully, we can play the chasing game good enough to be there or thereabout. |
