Default Should i DIY a sump or just get a skimmer?

My new tank is 3ft .x1.25 . was wondering if i should DIY a sump first than get a skimmer, or i just skip the sump and straight away get a hang over deltec skimmer.

Any advise? Also please let me know how i can DIY a sump for my tank if possible !

Thanks in advance.

hi bro , i saw several posts from you in another marine fish forum asking almost the same thing .

have u start cycling ur tank ? if not , u can look around for alternative to make it into a sump filtration setup.look for reputable tank makers

Equipments like skimmer, FRs can be 'dumped' into the sump without compromising the looks of the Display tank.
using a sump increases water volume which allows a little more room for mistakes.this can help to buy time before your livestocks perish.

So in other words without a sump, there's not much difference right? only the appearance.
