Hi guys, new to the Kelah. Never come across to my mind that this fish is so beautiful until reading through this discussion. Saw a couple of piece on sales in the LFS, can't control and bought them.
Might need help to ID.

Is this a green kelah??

Nice fish you have here tidatu. I dont think its a kelah. i ever own these before but cant remember the name off-hand now - its some kind of turpedo shaped silverish barb with a black line across its body for juvs.

They grow up to almost 2ft in the wild.
(Yes, I've had the humble experience of feeling them at the end of a line)
Largest one I was able to raised in an aquarium was about 14".

Some time back they were even sold as feeders!

I got it in Pasir ris fish farm. The stall near to the prawn fishing, the location also sell marine fish. Quite far in, near to tropical.

Guess u r right. Now i look at it, the body sharp doesn't look like kelah which i check through the net. It had red fin but black tail. However the body coloration look goldish, shiny, that why i thought it could be a kelah. Luckily damage quite low.
