I think there's no absolute capitalism and neither is there absolute socialism, at least in these countries mentioned, including Singapore ......
The challenge is how much of a socialism there is exactly is not clear. For countries like England and Australia, the election promises plays a big part in their policy or changes. Even Thailand, those promises of higher rice prices for the farmers are also a form of socialism. It's largely a mix between both capitalism and socialism. |

Yes.
I don't really care socialist or capitalistic : man is never perfect hence all socialist systems will be tainted when man tastes power. Socialist Russia was too big, otw could have been.

Ha... I give it to u lorkun. The economic inefficiencies by removing pricing mechanisms mean doc and road sweeper same pay u surely cannot accept. Ha... More so the allocation in its place instead wif political influence made far more conducive to tyranny... as in Cuba and north Korea... the only 2 countries applying socialism fully.
Full capitalism can also fail... cos nobody can be altruistic all the time... there goes the counter argument. I should start a new thread and where got time, right? Ha... so let's get on with it... write short short go figure the rest way. Yes... a mix... I was hoping someone would say sweden or even denmark... successful socialist democracies where private enterprises fund multitudes of programs aim at making peoples' lives better... and sweden was talking potatoes when it started hor... not even trade routes and deep water port which we got before we even started. Ha... then i can say why is tis govt telling us to go wif switzerland? Think. Now... socialism and capitalism can work hand in hand... so what went wrong for Singapore in recent times... starting wif GCT? The balance is wrong? The tilt is incorrect? We got stuck in equilibrium? None is true... as long as u got people who can do the math... and tis PM is a trained mathematician. So what went wrong? I tell u... trying to get corporatism in the mix is wat went wrong. Why? Really need a new thread... where got time... shortest short... corporatism must be corrupt... and I'll leave it at tat.
