Hi,

I work with the f5 also. fantastic camera. lens used is a nikkor aspherical lens; 28 to 85 short zoom with lens shade. it also has marco capabilities!

strobe lights can and may be mounted on top of the tank for more even lighting. if flash via camera hotshoe is used, best is place flash near glass so no reflection can be seen. only disadvantage is U get the 'ghost eyes' relfected of the retina of the fish. be sure to 'mask' & soften the flash with tissue paper. U may also wish to bounce the flash off the ceiling, thus reducing the 'ghost eyes' effect.

sync is auto and set to aperture priority. ASA can be at 125 or 160, I use kodak 160 pro film or ektar 125 pro film. film can be purchased at ruby;peninsula hotel or at kodak color lab at Adelphi; coleman street.

Hope that will help U take better pics.

Regards,
Thau Ming

I think the distance is in the macro range.

Pro t_tsen, you're very good.
