Bro koji! Very nice and poisonous thread. Took me roughly 4 hours to read from page 1.

Just to check with you. Your filter system is a OHF with the inlet under the gravels with a mesh on top of it right? and also a pre filter at the chiller.

What kind of pellet food are you feeding your shrimp?

Lastly, if I were to set up a shrimp tank. As I haven't have planted tanks yet. Can I use my pond water to cycle my tank? Do I add plant before or after cycling of my tank?

Another question. when you mean covering the inlet with mesh under the gravel, you tie mesh over the inlet or you have a layer of mesh covering the inlet of your filter and chiller. Trying to copy your idea, like tat will be less unsightly, lesser fear of harming the shrimp and also keeping the gravels clean.

Best just use aged water rather than pond water for you will never know what's in there.

As for the mesh, I just lay it over the piping underneath the soil only.

Not to forget getting water test kits as well for they are meant to show that your water is ready to put shrimps in or not.

Will do. I will get a tank and get the cycling done first. Thanks for the great advice. Is a chiller needed for crs to live well and reproduce well? If yes then any recommendtion on the chiller I could get for a 2 feet tank?

For chiller its a must for CRS imho. Singapore weather too hot already.

As for the chiller, I'm using hailea brand. There's a few brands in the market. You can always check with the person selling them.
