I think this is a clever move by Dr Tan if he is going to announce he is contesting in the next presidential election.
If the whatever committee decided to raise the bar of the candidates for the presidency election such that Dr Tan will not be able to meet. This will set the public talking putting pressure on the government. |

We can afford Donald Trump since US Pres annual pay is USD400,000. Plus this plus that maybe USD1mil... still CHEAPER than Singapore's PM and President.
