It is aggresive. This fellow of mine always jumped out from the tank to grab the prey.

Based on the info from "Aquarium fish of the world" by Atsushi Sakurai, it is said to reach 40 inch (1 metre) in their native habitat.

Hopefully, it is true since I like monster fish.

I dont know if it can reach that size.

The size of my Hoplyerythynus only 25 cm (already keep for 1 year from the size of 15 cm), but the fish grow is slow comparing with Hoplias.

bro ciewie, i jus saw the Hoplyerythynus yesterday, and they are one of the most active wolf fish that I've ever seen!

The few that i saw are all swimming around actively unlike the hoplias or even ery ery which most of the time would be lyin down the the tank bottom.

is your Hoplyerythynus very active oso?

I was thinkin of keepin one as they are really very active but dun have place now.

hi bro the guy sellin the wolf fish told me that they may even be more aggressive den hoplias. but well i guess that wld be dependable on each wolf's characteristics. but i'm sure they are very much more active as compared to hoplias and tad cld be the reason why they are more aggressive as well i guess.
