Compared to bro TG's Kamihata Ansorgii, it does seems to have the "frog" eyes of an endli, but it is definitely a great looking bichir nonetheless

It's a Hybrid.
Face is rounder like Endlicheri.

Not that it really means anything, I think it's a stunning piece, much nicer than the older generations of AnxEn.

I would be more than happy with that, good buy!

Tendou, I have had a few Laps with the little "7" as you call it.
It is not a PBB trait.

Any CB that isn't Kamihata is hybrids of Endlicheri x Ansorgii that are now being bred around the world, but mainly Japan and Indonesia.

Not sure if my all Kamihata come with certs, but both mine did.
Also, the price will be a give away the Kamihata are damn pricey.

Tell them apart from the head and jaw shape from the profile + top down, and the head markings.
Now this is interesting to know. If what we are having is Endlicheri x Ansorgii, I am not seeing much endy traits in these except for the rounder head shape. Then it shows that the indonesia breeders are very sucessful in cross breeding this 2 species.

When the first batch of ansorgii came to Singapore 2 yrs back, I was told the ansorgii stock is from the same supplier in Indonesia who supply this ansorgii to Japan. We managed to get them is due to the fact that she has close relation with breeders in indonesia.

I had made comparison of my WC, first batch CB and recent batch of ansorgii and see that the only difference is the head and jaw shape(as you mentioned). The head is more like congicus head shape and a more U shape curve mouth. Head marking for every bichir is different even for the same species like endy.

As for the price of the ansorgii, I believe it is relative to how much we can get it. If you are willing to ship some quality bichirs over to Singapore, I dun mind paying for it. So what say you?

There should be afew WC Polypterus ansorgii at 10" & 18".

Sometime very hard to define the value of the fish...

quality vs size. ....
CB vs WC ....

If small with very good quality but CB... And pricy..
Compare to
Big, pure breed and WC...quality wise have to wait for ETA..
Price wise much cheaper..

I wonder what people will get??
BTW I seen a very nice WC angsorii at well over 27"
