The aftermath of this is that my tank is littered with little white eggs that never hatch. They are hard to remove Notice the SAE watching the free show. Last edited by z_z; 13-09-2008 at 02:34 PM. Reason: For humour |

From what I read, think it is quite difficult to make the eggs hatch and then bring up the small nerites.

actually i doubt that they r mating, i hav 6 of these in my cherry tank and they always does that
reason i say might not b mating cos they sometimes does it in 3's (threesome) notice its not just climbing on top of each other, in the process they also insert a part of their body into the other's shell.. ooo anw ya i do hav tiny eggs.. abt 1 mm that sticks on plants and filter, but nv occur to mi that its frm them.. tot its some other critter's egg.. oh btw there r LOTS of those.. they do not hatch, these snails hav a marine or brackish water origin, its near impossible to get them to hatch in a fresh water tank.. |

It can be quite a hassle to clean them off Especially when your tank is heavily planted.
