Albino Silver aro question
I am from Canada.
We do not see albino silver aro locally very often. Our local pet ship brought in a few a few weeks ago. I bought 1. However, I found her pupils are black. The body color is pinkish which is definitely different than regular silver aro. I asked the shop. They told me the fish was farm bred in Singapore. They bought them from a wholesaler in the U.S. They also said the pupil will turn when they grow bigger. I took a few pictures from my IPhone but I am not allowed to post the attachments here. Any experience hobbyists on this forum can give me some advice? Thanks in advance! |

if you look carefully, it might be dark red, and there might not be enough lighting to see the redness in the eyes, i bought one recently as well

Do you both mean their pupils are dark when there is not enough light? If I have light on top of the fish, I should be able to see the red pupils? I have to give it a try. I currently have a 4 feet florescent. The fish is small and swim fast. Very hard to have it stays still under the light. I may have to net it under water and look at it under light. |
