Just went Seaview to buy some fishes... mixture of:
- 50 don't know what
- 50 pieces of tetra (albino golden)
- 50 pieces of other tetra (a bit transparent body)

Now quarantine them with Parzi Gold and Seachem Prime. Will put them into tank tomorrow night.

1 mat of Monte Carlo. Planting time!

Try not to mix different school of fish with same swimming habit, separate out by top, mid and bottom dweller. Or else chumpo together quite messy.

Ah yes, u have a point. Didn't think of that.

Anyway, what I noticed, of the 3 different types. The Albino tetra grouped together and very little movement (maybe the bright lights blinded them). The other tetra are all over. The final one (can't remember what it is) moves in a school, which is a good sight.

I'll try take photo soon. Need to plant the MC.

About a month back, I planted MC... few days ago, noticed a line of 'bubbling' effect coming from it. The MC isn't growing fast, so it's not covering the base, yet. But given time, it would. Can't wait to see that happen.

Been having issue with green algae on the walls. Think I'll need to reduce lighting, and do more water change (maybe 20% weekly) since I'm also getting brown spot (hairy) algae.

Now tank don't look so nice cos i didn't scrub all e algae off e wall, and MC not growing n covering the ground, so no photo to show la.

When u mentioned need to trim else float up, is it because they don't root properly? So need to keep them short? Seems like not easy to get a good carpet. Maybe I shd consider mini fissiden next.

I think because I leave them grow too thick and the bottom start to die.. hence the floating..

I'll upload some pictures in my thread later you go look see..

Saw liao. So it is good to keep it short. Thing is, if it's let to grow thick, it looks nice, but since it'll float up, it just ruin e whole carpetting. Really hoping to do a nice carpet without more issues...

Maybe i'll start searching for mini fissidens. Even if it's not for carpeting, it can be nice for wall (the end against e wall)

Talk abt mesh, I gotten rid of a lot last year. Probably have a few pieces lying around. I need to find mini fissiden if I want to tie them. Will KIV this thought for now and see how MC turns out. They are quite slow growing till date (which isn't too bad too).
