There's no reason this saga affects bread and butter issues and the running of a country. If that really affects the day to day matters, it shows complete incompetency that the million dollar self claimed best ppl are really not worth even a fraction of their claims.

It didn't dent any confidence, it cemented my resolute. Ppl said Opp not good enough. But well, if one can't manage family, how he manage a country? If one can't be fair and equal, what fairness are we even looking at?

PSD confirms polling public service officers on Oxley Road dispute

The Public Service Division (PSD) has confirmed that it polled public officers on the Lee family feud.

They conducted the poll because the allegations went “beyond private matters”.

The PSD said in a statement to the media on Tuesday (27 June), “As part of our stakeholder engagement, the Public Service Division periodically seeks public officers’ sentiments on public issues that matter to them. We are polling public officers to understand their sentiments on this issue as it involves the integrity of our public institutions, of which they are an important part.”

The PSD issued the statement after screenshots of the poll by PSD Engage about the dispute over 38 Oxley Road were circulated online. The person who shared the photos questioned why public resources were used to conduct the poll.

The PSD is part of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Some questions asked respondents whether the incident would have an impact on Singapore’s reputation, and whether the matter “affected your confidence in the integrity and impartiality of our public institutions and the Public Service”.

Separately, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong also issued a statement on Tuesday night saying that the allegations made by his siblings Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling are “mostly inaccurate”.

He said, “My siblings continue to make allegations about what I supposedly did or did not do. They are mostly inaccurate. As I earlier said, I will be making a statement in Parliament on 3 July 2017. I will at that time deal with the allegations that need to be addressed.”

If what LHL as a PM has done is above the board and not a liar as claimed by his siblings then will he sue his siblings for deframation?

Itegrity as a PM and the govt he leads are at stake here.

What were said by his siblings amount to defamation to the Prime Minister, who holds the highest level in the public service, he should bring them to court.

Actually, his siblings are throwing sticks and stones at him hoping that he will bring them to court. Instead LHL only want to talk about it in parliament, with national coverage, at the absence of both his siblings.

In democratic countries, when an allegation is made at office holders, they have a duty to refute the allegation, prove it wrong, not sue!

In Uniquely Singapore, we are brought up to believe in suing. Because of this legal tactic, we lost our rights of speech and dare to challenge but we learn to accept even if we knew it's wrong!

It is obvious as to the results of the poll. When their jobs are on the line, what do they expect.

It is likely that the results will be announced later and reflect that these officials have full confidence in the government.

They can deceive the blurred people who have blinkers on but not those who can see through the smokescreen.

LkY, GCT and LHL had been doing it. LhL, himself said must sue if being deframed and etc.. So shall see what will happen.

Maybe LWL and LHY will sue instead.
