hi all...i have no idea about this fish. are they expensive? do they jump?

Hello and welcome!

They are relatively expensive for freshwater fish, but for me i like their big scales and colorful fins.
Yes, they do jump, best to have a cover.

Is it a bit too yellow/orangish for Tor sinensis? And the lateral stripe is too diffused?

This Mahseer Journal Thread is really good. I've learnt a lot from their experience. There is very little information on the internet about Mahseer. This is one of the best collection of information about Mahseer

This is the most colourful one among the three from lfs, if it isn't T. sinensis then which species could it be? Thanks bro!

i.e. According from the lfs, this shippment was imported from Thai.

ehhm....i think your specimen, more closely similiar with tor sp from india....btw.nice tor....i loved it

even when less than 4 inches long fins are pink to red and the stripe is always there more or less.

went to aquastar y'day. saw a tank of small maybe 3inch labelled as blue 'kedah' going at $18 each...are they worth it? what is the diff as compared to those long bodied kind of tin-foil barb fish they are selling at 3 for $5? tail red color...body silverish scales.

what type of mahseer on this video ,(which has black lateral line on their body)..are they tor sinensis??
