For ammonia I use 2 different test kits. one from API and another from interpret.

Feeding 2 days 1 time. Every night on pellets.
Comm tank: 7 AROS, 6 parrots, 2 Tigers and 1 silver dollar.
Tank size: 5x2.5x2x5 with 70% water.
2 x2260 packs with biohomme standard and plus.

Please give comment on the reading below.

I would be glad if you can tell me more as I am a beginner in COMM tank.

Thanks for posting your reading of your water perimeter.

1) Ammonia.

As we can see from the reading, Interpret test kit read 0.1mg/L and API test kit read 0.25mg/L or 0.5mg/L And from API test kit chart, it show that it is able to read NH3 and NH4. As explain in our previous post in #8, molecules will becomes less stables and easily picks up by test kits after using Hydra filter.

2) Nitrite and Nitrate.

As we can see from the reading, NO2 read at 0.25mg/L or 0.5mg/L but NO3 read at 75mg/L or 100mg/L We can see that NO2 is quickly accelerated to NO3.

With the above current water perimeter, will you like to share with us your experience after using Hydra Filter and your water condition and the behavior and appetite of your fish as we are excited to know about your experiences, thanks alot.

Hi All,

After using Hydra 50 for 3 days, I tested the Ammonia using Prodac test kit. The test result is perfect. Good!

QH,
it means that it is good that the NO2 is quickly change to No3.
With this fast reaction what should i do?

Ammonia will cause harm to the fish.
Will Nitrite and nitrate cause harm to the fish as well?

if the nitrite and nitrate wont cause harm to the fish, what is the prevention should i take to the nitrite and nitrate?
i was thinking with the Hydra stream, i can reduce WC.

i do not know how to differentiate on the water paramater apart from worrying from the high value obtained from the test kits.

Behaviour and appetite no much different. They still alots, as previous i fed once every day, not i feed 2 days 1 time. to cut down on bioload as my water is still not stable yet.

Please give me advise on what should i take note so i can share here.

As you mention in the FAQ, the hydra will helps to lower the nitrite and nitrate. but in my case is different.
The reading obtained is higher and it shocks me.

please explain more on this.

Hi Qian hu.. please advise on this serious issue. I bought the hydra stream 1 and found that its leaking at the fix side of the stream. Went to exchange another one and still leaking at the fix side.

Im only connecting it to a eheim 2211 which its at 300lph.. I tried to lower the pressure from the eheim tap before going into the stream.. and its still leaking.

its rather an serious issue as i set uo the fish tank half way and now leaving it there without any filter.
