I cant guarantee that electronic items dont spoil.
So far samsung fridge is still working for at least 8yrs
Hitachi, LG and Samsung equipment still working but coming 2yrs nia

Could it be, your freezer was left open for too long till ice melted and too much water droplets form up in the fan motor area thus freezing it? I encounter frozen freezer drawer door rail problem, where the drawer door couldn't be open. Let it defrost and it was back to normal.

It's the movement/vibration that cause things to spoil faster. Just like PC tends to be more lasting than Laptop.

I apply 1 logic. Anything that moves/vibrates a lot, get extended warranty. Eg washing machine/dryer. Things that doesn't move much, I don't bother (eg fridge, tv).

It's the movement/vibration that cause things to spoil faster. Just like PC tends to be more lasting than Laptop.

I summon the servicing many times, he switch off, then use hairdryer to defrost the area near the fan. After that very soon problem come back again. When the fan just start to get stuck, constant knocking sound like hammering will come from the fridge.

I already boycott Panasonic fridge from then. Not worth the stress.
