Yes correct Liao . your first photo the wm position too high and nozzle not pointing the tank base that's why the shit can't be blow to the underflow .
See u got a ray there .... After few months when your ray bigger .... No need wm Liao . free labour to sweep ur tank floor . |

From the latest photo, I can see the water level already rose above the overflow completely. it no longer able to skimz the surface water unless need mod.

It did not rose above the overflow. I tried to pluck in a few plucks but it's always 1/4 cover. I think I'll try to change the sump pump and see how it goes. Any suggestions for a 5ftX2.5X2.5 tank with 5 L joint?

My guess is pump maybe not strong already. Anw I've changed. Seems like much better.

After changing the pump, little and almost no sediments left.
