Default 36watt on 2 1ft cube.

hi guys, just need to confirm this once again.

am i right to say that if i use a 2ft 36watt PL on a 2 1ft cube tank(placed side by side) i get 36watt each for the tank instead of 18watt?

thanks.

Well, yeah, on paper you can get exposure from a 36w tube BUT because the intensity at each part of the tube is different and due to loses to the environment, you will get slightly less than 36w.
