VFSR fasting for around 1.5 months. Please help
Hi Everyone,
My VFSR is now 2 feet in length. He is not eating since 1.5 months. I know that sometimes arowanas' goes on fasting mode. But he have never been fasting this long since last 4 years. I'm slowly getting worried that is there something else? As I said, he started fasting 1.5 months ago. And 3 weeks back i shifted my home as well. May be the water parameters have changed as well. Does all these events combined, making him to fast longer? Sometime he takes a byte of Hikari silkworm feed which i drop everyday. Mostly parrot feeds on it. I've dropped a goldfish which is surviving for last one week. What should I do? Please help. |

Bro, a clip speaks a thousand words.
Shall appreciate it if you can download a clip on your aro Mature aro can go off food for a considerable period of time. Mine for once fasted for literally 2 months for no reason. Maintain good water parameters in the meantime. It will come around on its own terms |

bro , personally have had aros fast for longer than 2 months, as long you maintain your water and no signs of disease just got to wait it out a video as what bro Streetsmart had suggested would be good.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and comments. Please find the video below.
I'm afraid whether he have any internal infections now. He became very aggressive to his companion catfish and parrot. He is 4 years old VSFR. Not yet tanned. 2 feet long (Goldfish for scale). Top View during Water change

it looks well fed. I wont be concern much.
keep the water quality good and it will eat when it wants to eat some day. Reds are known to undergo extended fasting as they reach maturity.

ts, from your clip, nothing wrong with your red.
It really looks good. Be patient with it and maintain good water parameters throughout. It will feed again. Honest, I have a 6-yr-old red too. It ever went off food close to 2 months. |

I'm feeling a bit relaxed now. I've arranged some ketapang leaves which I'll drop today. I'll keep you updated on the progress. |

Bro, honest I would prefer to remain status quo for the red & its tank.
Except that to maintain good water parameters throughout It will come around on its own terms |
