As expected, Salah is on the right with Mane on the left, a strange case of Liverpool accommodating a new signing by moving their previous season’s best player into another position.

Typical Liverpool. First corner of the game and it’s a simple header for Okaka, who is left unmarked.

It’s a great delivery from Holebas but the defending is a joke. No-one taking responsibility, nobody attacking the ball. Wretched start.

Liverpool have just had a little bit of pressure, to be fair. Jordan Henderson putting two crosses in to no avail.

The Reds look really disjointed here. Watford have made it scrappy and right now Liverpool simply can’t cope.

But if they’re going to play it on the floor, it’s just as well Mane is out there. A great goal that showcased the persistence of both the Senegalese and Moreno, and a neat flick by Can to put Mane in.

Indeed, only four Klopp signings make the starting line-up.

What can you even say about this?

Liverpool just starting to improve and another almighty mess at the back allows Watford to get back in front. Ridiculous.

A cross is scuffed into Lovren by Alexander-Arnold and falls perfectly for the Watford man to put the home side back ahead.

Some shades of offside to that goal, but it’s very difficult to tell in this day and age.

What’s easy to know, though, is Liverpool’s defending isn’t very good.

Alexander-Arnold was a little hurried in his clearance and Watford got in behind far too easily.
