No offence but I understand that it does mentioned that marine salt is not needed in FW setup, but in a tanganyika setup, it does help...we understand that marine salt has the capability to raise hardness in comparison to normal aquarium salt.
There is no harm to use marine salt for tangan setup especially.

Of cos, the use of normal salt will do as well, but i wont call it wasting $$$ in using marine salt when its not something the same quality as the FW salt, cos got more minerals...

but ahloy already buy le ma...so just use marine now lo...

correct me if im wrong, still learning and reading thru articles too...

cheers

Got to make thing clear so hopefully anyone follow this thread will not waste $$$.

Anyway, the choice is yours.

Just here to share info.

Cheers
i agree with u bro.. marine salt is not a need.. but i use it cos it provide addition stuff.. from the quote below.. but the quote might be wrong.. cos it also posted by someone else.. so got to try out lol.. we are all still learning, it good to point out.. maybe some guru can advise?

Marine salt raises your pH because of the rich minerals and contents of dissolved metals which are part of minerals contents.

Marine salt can be used to make brackish water for fishes like ST, archer and the asian chiclids.

btw marine salt is almost the same price.. i got the 2 kg marine salt for 9dollar and the FW 500g for 2dollar.. so sama sama to me..
