HELP: A lot of school bubbles on surface
Hi.
I just setup a new crossback arowana since yesterday. Today there is a lot of micro bubbles on surface and I notice my arowana is like breathing heavenly with mouth open and close. I have change water but bubbles still remains. Thanks. Eric |

Yes it is cycled. You still can to view on pic I posted by right click on "Open image on new tab" Anyway, I WC yesterday and this morning it was getting better, thank you guys. |

1) check for ammonia. likely ammonium spike. Do water change to bring down ammonium concentration.
2) did you overdose on water conditioner? overdosing water conditioner causes foaming too. given your set up is new, I think it is more likely ammonium spike. do more regular water change to keep ammonium concentration under control.

Actually the more i read on forum the more confuse i am, maybe you can able to help me out. As you know I got my xback couple days back and my tank is 3 black and bottom white, some said remain black while other advise to all white. **Natural sunlight and at light house fluorescent light** |

the color of your tank depends very much on individual preferences.
for me, i like more intense color for my arowana, so my tank is all blue from the 1st day. some hobbyists like their xback to have a golden head and shiny back, so they keep the fish in a all white tank to delay the process of the fish back turning dark. 3 side walls black and the base white. hmm. i dont know how will that affect the fish. my guess is it will turn dark like in a regular full black tank.
