Notification to Competition Participants

Dear Competition Participants,

Thank you for participating in our 3rd National Flowerhorn Competition @ AF Carnival 2012 which will be held at OTF Aquarium Farm from 31 August to 2 September 2012.

Please present your fish for benching in on 31 August 2012 (Friday) between 5pm to 8pm and observe the following procedure:

1. When you arrived at the competition venue, please proceed to the registration desk and present your identity card/passport for verification of your identity. The registration officer will then issue you with the bench-in and bench-out form.

2. If you are sending a proxy to bench-in your fish, you must provide that person with an authorization letter stating that he is benching in the fish on your behalf. That person must also present his/her identity card/passport at the registration desk during bench-in. This rule is not applicable for Flowerhorn Club members.

3. During registration, you (or your proxy) will be asked to draw lots to determine which tank your fish will be placed in. If you have entered more than 1 fish in a class, you may decide on the tank position for each of your fishes after the drawing of lots eg. if you have 3 fishes in Class A and you draw tank number 1, 2 and 3, you can decide which of your 3 fishes go into tank 1, 2 and 3. Once the fishes have been placed into the tank, no changes will be entertained.

4. After the drawing of lots, hand your fish to the bench-in officer who will place your fish into the assigned tanks for you. You are not allowed to enter the competition arena at any time during the bench-in period.

5. Once the bench-in period is over, you may enter the competition arena and use your own mirror and/or toy fish to condition your fish but all these objects must be removed when the competition arena is closed for the day.

6. Strictly no medication, food or any additives are to be put into the tank at any time for the entire duration of the competition without the permission of the competition officers.

7. Anyone caught disobeying the above procedure or the competition rules and regulations will be disqualified and asked to leave the competition arena immediately.

Thank you for your co-operation and we wish you the best of luck in this competition.

With warmest regards,

Dave6238
Organizing Committee Chairman

Elvin, everyday is a working day cos some work shifts n some work weekends. So its impossible to find a day n time that suits everybody. Participants will have to plan their schedule or they can arrange for a proxy to bench in their fishes.
