Default Need advice on air pump.

Hi I just bought hiblow 20 yesterday. I realise the flow quite strong. Is it ok to open half of all the outlet?

Oh ya. Which air stone is good for this pump? And I realise the hiblow 20 quite hot after I on it for a night. Safe anot ah? Quite scary Sia. Haha.

Thanks bro and sis for the help.

it is getting hot because of pressure building up in the the bellow causing the motor to work extra hard. this may affect the lifespan of your air pump. you'll need to release the excess pressure built up within the pump for the pump to work better.

what i suggest is to get a 3 way valve and connect it to one of the outlets.

now, you'll have 7 outlets.

the first 6 outlets connect to the same points as your plan and the 7th outlet will be blowing out into the air.

leave the 7th outlet fully open and control the flow of the other 6 outlets with the valves. if pressure in the 6 outlets are insufficient, you can slightly close the 7th outlet to bring up the pressure.

good luck.

air stones, can get the big disc shaped ones.

Very good tips bro. Thanks for sharing. A pity I have been "pressurizing" my HB20 for the past few years. I will try to relieve some stress off it and hope it serve me for another few years down the road.
