We have launched an initiative known as the Clean Care-adult diapers' program.
We visited Blk 621A & 621B, Edgefield Walk and Blk 182, Rivervale Crescent this afternoon to deliver adult diapers
to the disabled who are either bed ridden or on wheelchair etc.

We are extremely thankful to our sponsor - Mr Teng Teck Leong of Ms. Poli Pte Ltd,
who has pledged to us that his company will continue to supply the adult diapers to our beneficiaries on a monthly basis.
To date, six families have benefited from this program but we hope that even more needy families will stand to benefit from our Clean Care-adult diapers' program.

Returning to society comes in many forms, so I won't generally rate whoever just because they 'appeared' to be doing lesser than another.

Some ppl will go public on what they do, while there are also those who do it stealth like. They are also those who do things in other forms that not everyone sees as returning to society.

So to each his own. If many of us do our little bits, the society will be a better place already.

Following up actions for the unit that caught fire last week which located at Blk 110, Pasir Ris Street 11.
Painters were on site early morning to commence works.
We hope our actions will encourage more neighbors in the vicinity to join us to help the affected family and upkeep the kampung spirit.

But he needs to improve his public image too. Once saw him smoking at an eatery. I know smoking is a personal choice
but for "public figure" there are certain compromise to make, higher standard to uphold.

There are different kind of aspiring MPs .....

some are more " grassroots " while others are more inclined towards national policies, budgets etc

people like Chee Soon Juan talks abt democracy, rights and even Singapore's standing and position on global issues

now u even need to hv the capability to run a town council

Visited Mdm Veeramah this morning and brought her some groceries. She lives alone and drags herself around the floor because one of her legs is amputated. She rents her room out to a foreign worker and sleeps in the hall. She tells us she survives on the rent of $500 she collects.
“If no rent, no money lah” she says, “government no help.” She mentioned she had once approached Halimah Yacob for assistance. “But talk, talk no help.”
Mdm Veeramah is just one of the many residents living in poverty in Bukit Batok, indeed throughout Singapore. I find it hard to accept that in a country that boasts of the most number billionaires and millionaires per capita, we still see such poverty in our midst. I met a couple yesterday while distributing grocery packs to low-income families. They had four children, the eldest was in Sec 2. All six squeezed into the rental studio flat the size of an HDB living room with a tiny toilet crammed in (no bedrooms). Mattresses strewn on the floor passed for beds with little else as furnishings.
