Turtle can just swallow. As long as it feels the food is small enough, it will swallow. Sometimes it will swallow until the neck there bulging, which is quite scary.
If it is too big to fit into its mouth, it will bite on it, and try to use its claws on the front flipper to rip it apart to smaller pieces. They don't have teeth, but their "beak" is very sharp. |
