My first planted tank!
Well technically it isn't really "planted" considering i didn't plant anything, just a lot of tying. It took me more than 4 months to realize this set-up, from collecting the appropriate pieces of wood, getting the tank fabricated, buying the various equipment to NS getting in the way of it all. I spent about $1.5k on this tank. I experienced algae mid-way through but i managed to contain it and get rid of it within a couple of weeks.
The Corys were just bought from JZX on Sunday. They immediately started searching for food and looked right at home. The best thing about keeping all three species of Dwarf Corys is watching them school which is absolutely amazing! I intend to add at least 10 more Dwarf Corys in the near future. Once the SAEs get too big i'll give them away.

Seriously a lot of tying there, bro. But nice clean setup! One thing though, I feel your SoLite is way too overpowered for just moss.

Yes i spent 2-3 hours of back breaking work to get it all done. It looked so pathetic at the start and i was worried it wouldn't grow nicely but i was wrong! Not really man, it's actually just nice. Wattage isn't a problem as long as the CO2 and fertilizer chemistry is right. It's 24W now. Planning to up to 48W and 2-3 bps for quicker and better growth. What do you think?

I'm no expert, to be honest. But i do feel 48W would be really overdoing the lighting part. Then again, you never know until you've tried. I use an Odyssea 2x24W T5HO on my 2ft-er, running only 1 tube. The only algae I get is the green dust, which is what I'm trying to achieve anyways. Still hesitating to add in the 2nd tube. Lol...

I tried running 48W for a week previously and had an BGA outbreak which I managed to control and eradicate. But that was purely without ferts and any form of carbon. So I'm usre if I can get the levels right the moss with flourish.
