Just saw this in news:

Many arowanas farms are located in this areas, will they be affected?

国家发展部宣布，林厝港西部62家农场必须在租约满后搬迁，让位给军训用途。国家发展部明年会拨出双溪登雅路和林厝港等地段公开招标，受影响农场可参与投标。

From Pasir Ris to LCK. Ornamental fish business is suffering. I feel for those fish site owners. Although they can bid for the lease, but prices will be much higher than what they pay now.

Govt wan to take back old trg grounds to build hdb estate, army lan lan, wan new land for compensation.
Hence lck farmers kana

I thought MINDEF has special privileges when it comes to camps/training grounds that the Housing Development Board can't touch? Even so, i feel for the LCK and Pasir Ris guys. I hope it doesn't happen to Sungei Tengah any time soon.

It was mention in the last part of the news why army need new land.
Not army camp but training grounds.

That really depends on the rental price. With the property prices heading upwards, I really doubt that they will be offered a price that ensure their business survives not to mentioned remain competitive as well.
