When I first joined this forum I was keeping bettas.
Now keep sword tails.
Easier to keep as they breed by themselves in a common tank.
Unlike bettas which need more attention in breeding.

Did query Af committee about how to encourage more participation in this forum during their last few AGM and bring more hobbyist back in fish keeping .

Some suggestion include -
1) Relaxing buy sell restriction

2) Link to AF Facebook

3) Organise more fish related event

4) etc etc ..


of which their answer were .....not that easy as it requires more volunteer to take up these roles for the event and/or need approval from webmaster .

Hence , if nothing else can be done, guess AF may has to scale down or close if there is too little viewership in the future .

The above just my humble observation .

im working in advertising. this forum need to increase members, well. by not allowing people with gmail or yahoo mail etc to register as new member, is already killing it.

the pool is already small, and with restriction, it getting even smaller.

its hard to build the community back again, need lots time and effort and money.

over all fish keeping industry is taking a down turn, even qian hu is doing so badly that they need to divert their business to farming fish for dinning table.

if you cant change quick enough, or if you are too stubborn, you will die.
