lots of shoes out there. usually i dun go for the ones ppl are wearing normally. wear shoes you are comfortable with.

popular shoes now are Hoka One, on sales at world of sports now.

Trail
Speed Goat. cheap and good. gives u a good grip on the ground, provides stability, comfortable.

Normal
Clifton 2. cheap and good. comfortable, good stability.

Both going for $99 at world of sports.

New Balance
Go for anything that is fresh foam. less impact to your feet while you run due to the foam sole.

Hoka may not suit some runner's feet shape since it tends to be narrow.

I used to have a pair of SpeedGoat but have to give them up. The toe box is too small and kept hitting them when going down hill.

My preferred trail shoes right now is Brooks. I have both Cascadia and Mazama.

For road shoes I like Asics and Mizuno.

Other specialized trail shoes are Innovate, Salomon, North Face.

I have not used North Face but I heard some good feedback from running friends who own a pair.

Our trail in Macritchie can be very muddy when raining, so, good grip is important if you brave the rain and continue to run.

I heard there's a shop in Novena (Velocity) that have the ability to monitor feet posture/landing and recommend a suitable running shoe. Maybe can check them out.

Read about this before. Thus serious runners will have multiple pairs of shoes.

Was serious.

7 pairs running
1 spikeless sprinters for vertical runs once a week that replaced my long runs.
2 pairs waterproof trail for rain.
