Default Goldfish with tetras?

Hello bros,

Is it advisable to keep goldfish with tetras? Will tetras 'nip' on the gf?

Any experience to share? Tks

If it fits the goldfish mouths, the tetras will probably be eaten.

Yup, that's also what I told my sister in law when she suggested us to keep tetra with our goldfishes and Thai ranchu.

I have no problem keeping Tetras with my GF. Did not encounter any tail nipping nor having my Tetras eaten by my GF.

I am keeping Red Eye Tetra in my GF tank now, it's a wide body Tetra which is unable to fit into my GF's mouth. Another thing good about Red Eye Tetra is that they can tolerate PH of up to 8, which is suitable for GF enviroment.

With Tetra in my tank, I no longer encounter any free swimming tiny worms in my tank now, those become free live food for the Tetras.

Only when your gf are not properly fed then you will see your tetras getting lesser day by day
