redcross Aro 'continuity' planning

Hi bros/sis

Am facing a bit of a dilemma. I have a 7 pc red comm in a 7 x 2.5 x 2.5. Few days ago, noticed 1 red showing initial symptoms of dropsy.

Since then, have done massive WC with salt and plan to do alternate day WC. This weekend will look for some med.

I appreciate any advise on:-

a) How to 'mercifully' kill it [worse case scenario] and when (before it infects others);
b) What are commonly available medication (antibiotics) for aro dropsy;
c) Treatment suggestions (different to what I have planned above)

Unfortunately, I dont have a separate hospital tank / facility to attend to this 1 aro. Also, I hv zero experience in aro dropsy, never had this in like 15-20 yrs of aro keeping. They whole tank will need be 'treated' as a family.

Tq

go get a Toyogo Box biggest size. S$35 only. Buy an air stone. Put ur affected aro inside the box. On a heater to 32 degree slowly. Dose Furan 2.

Change Water every day 30% and re-dose Furan 2

3days should cure completely.

Bro, beside taking on the remedy on the affected red
you may need to find out the root cause.

What is your wc regime like?

Do check out the filter materials in the sump too.

They also need clearing and cleaning regularly.

btw, appreciate your compliments bro.

am technologically challenge - esp videos

diet ?

SW daily or alternate days
Crickets / frogs - 1 wk once or 2 wks once
They dont get crickets when they get frogs & vice versa.

In my aro journey only fed live feeders 1st few months when I started years ago - never since - too risky infection wise.

No feeding on WC days

Yup tq for the note, am aware - I change the cotton every 2 wks. I have a 3 tray stacked cotton wool configuration just above sump chamber 1. Sump is mostly biological. Sorry no pics now.

Anyone 'put down' their aros before ?

For smaller tropical fishes, have done before - not for larger fishes like aros

tq
