Default canister.

Hi all need ur advice again.

tank will be in tomorrow. so will pour in the left over lapis the new lapis which just brough,and of cause a layer of base fert.

problem are thinking to cycle the water the canister wif filter wool fist b4 putting in the biohome plus,ceramic ring.Is ok ? thinking of cycle the water for around 3-4 day b4 putting the rest of the "thing " in the canister .

another problem is

read b4 some topic wat to put in the canister...

for me

1.filter wool
2.ceramic ring
3.biohome plus
4.???????(wat should i put in?)

and the order is it correct place?

mine is top basket: white filter wool, 2nd basket : media, 3rd basket : media and 4th basket : sponge....

Mine was the pump directly suck from the white filter.... thus, the water circulation was passed thru the sponge follow by the medias ( 2 layer) then lastly filter by the wool again...

actually i dont knoe how the canister works....let say the top basket is it the dirt first gantry ?tat means dirty water suxk from the tank past the top basket first?

the top basket is it the first basket for the dirty water to pass through ?

sorry dont really know how the canister work just knoe how to use keke

i think it depend on the design of the canister...

so tat mean for ur canister the first try the dirt to go through is the bottom which contian the sponge rite .

how do we check which tray to go first? cause mine is those cheapo type.

u can place a sponge with rough surface and big holes at this layers to filter out the large debris so the finer debris (fish poo) can go into the bio home layer..
