For my birchirs, they are now on a pellet/mp diet. But once a week i will buy feeders to feed the whole tank. But usually by the time the birchirs know there is feeders, the rest of the tankmates would have finished them off.
What i notice when i first got the birchirs is that i used feeders to pump them up and also to condition them. They did grow faster when on live feeders compared to a fully mp diet. |

Mine are fully on pellets and mp.
I haven't experimented enough to tell you definitely what food provides better growth rates and such but I choose to feed pellets and mp because it minimizes the risk of parasites. That being said I do from time to time throw in feeders for them as I don't want them to forget how to hunt. Also its shiok to see. |
