Update :
Added a pair of True Perc from sealife 3 days ago and 1 went missing the next day.. took out my frag station, and tried to look for every corner i can without having to lift my LR but i just couldn't find it.. Left with one fella who is currently just about to host on a hammer coral. Added a small Red Mandarin goby today.. Bought from ah beng. Honestly i was just looking at the mandarin housed in the small containers with no intention to buy as i know they are hard to get it to feed. But saw this particular fella flaring and coloring up nicely and appears to be not too skinny so i decided to take the risk. i have seeded the tank with copepods weeks ago and bought another bag today.. my glass tank walls are full of pods! Lovely mandarin pecking at pods right after dripping and pouring into tank. just nice i shifted one small rock on top of 2 to build a small cave yesterday and the mandarin decided this shall be his home. for the past few hours, he's been hanging out around here pecking at pods nearby. not too shy to venture out too! I've been reading up alot and prepared to train it to eat frozen food.. meanwhile will continue to buy pods too. Next up, i've once upgraded my light to another par38 with 9 3W BridgeLux LEDs. this housing consist of 5 Royal Blue, 2 neutral white (4500k) and 2 violets (405-410nm). The violets really make the corals color pop! the NW also makes the tank look purplish when combined with the RB.. the violets are barely visible to our eyes. Currently using with no lenses.. they come equipped with individual lenses. FTS. Sorry for the purplish shot! its not that purple actually. my phone cant capture it well. |

True perc with hammer. refuses to eat pellets or even frozen mysis.. eat but spit out..
Fire & Ice zoas nice green zoas.. came with a shell clam! My frag station. Very interesting to monitor them growing from single polyps. Mohawks! Fastest growing zoas. From 1 frag, now got 3 frags.. Rics garden. Zoas garden.. Not really meant to be though... they got light shocked when i upgraded to a 7x3watts with lenses attached.. too bright probably as i placed them pretty high previously.. polyps are starting to opening after i shifted them to the ground. GSP on surface skimmer pipe. This coral grows really fast! covering the whole pipe soon. Planning to add 2 more fishes (week by week) 1 - Yasha goby + Pistol shrimp pair 2 - Tail spot blenny. Thats all for today! |
