This MM pup has been with me for about 1 month, i purchased it with only 2.5" size, now about 3" size.. my tank is fully cycled, used to house a small PDR pair while ago, as they grow bigger so i transfer them to another tank, but all the pdr pair seems fine and very healthy..

I never fed them with live feeders, i only feed them with MP, small cut frozen fish, frozen squid, Lionhead pellets and frozen bloodworm. Now i'm doing 30% WC everyday 2 days with salt added, put extra aeration in the tank. Am I in the correct way? Thanks.. Your guys help are greatly appreciated |

First, have you acclimatised properly on your newly purchased ray....
4inches is too small for you to bring back.... very Fragile |

Transfer the pup to a two feet tank using back the same water.
Then put few live feeders, suggest live shrimps, not torsats. After one day, do 15% water change. Use simple mechanical cotton wool overhead filtration. I think your big tank filtration also has problem. |

I feel as long as the fish is able to move, hunt and eating, it should be fine. From the pictures, the coloration of the ray looks fine to me. Usually, sick ray will become less active and stop eating. Curl disc usually associate with sudden death....this usually caused by bacteria/parasite from newly introduced fish. I use Melafix to treat my rays. Observe the ray, if still moving and eating and with your wc, i feel should be fine.
