a "fake xb" may be an arowana from unknown parentage.
When buying a golden xb, hobbyists expect to buy fish with both parents that are golden arowana with more than 5 rows of shine.
this is very difficult to identify in baby arowana and hobbyist can only trust the breeders' word. only the breeders know the baby arowana's father. (sometimes, breeders don't even know who is the mother.)

some baby arowana looked like grade 2 red crossed with RTG, green, etc

of course features are important. A beautiful fish is what hobbyists want at the end of the day.
but for new hobbyists like us, we can't identify a good fish easily.
so, getting a fish that was tagged by a trustworthy breeder helps ease the stress for new hobbyist.

Aro will be addicted to SW and it hard to digest. Try mix with market prawn, pellets etc.

Ya that true in a way. The first day i feed it with SW. Shortly after, it ignore MP. I have to starve a few days before it take MP again. Now back to normal, alt day then i feed with SW.

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Any Aro expert to see if my Aro has breathing problem ? It loss it appetite since morning. YTD was feeding well with SW? But it is swimming normally? But I notice the grill is opening weirdly? I just do a 20% WC. I also turn up my heater to 32 degree. It is a com tank and my rays are doing well. Checked the water parameters and everything is good. Or I too paranoid?

your video is set to private. we can't watch.
Heater at 30C should be sufficient, higher temperature, less dissolved oxygen, more difficult for a panting arowana.
