Its fine to leave the molted shell as it is in the tank.

Changing of 80% tank water is not really advisable due to sudden change in the parameters. Do not give up and take it as a lesson learn. i learn from the hard way too, and still learning...

too many pellets stuck in the bottom was trying to get rid of those.. one thing i learned not to overfeed.. and i think i should have introduce critter to get rid of them.. it's damn hard to try to clear the bottom.. I think the shrimp is the first to die and thereafter the tank crushed and it's too late for me to safe them when i get home.. my orange anemone fish is the last to go.. he is a strong fighter..

don't do that.. even if its saltwater with salwater, no chloramine and no chlorine, it qill still caused a big water parameter difference.

all the best to your new restart anyway.. one thing ive observed after getting 3 times of shrimps for my tank. blood shrimp are extremely nocturnal.. whereas skunk shrimps are super active and useful.

urs molt? mine molt everytime I change water.. i think is not because it's growing big but the small tank water parameter changed too rapidly.. =s future will try not to change too much water.. zz
