MY 4x1.5x1.5 PLANTED
Hi all !
Will be starting my planted tank as of tomorrow. For those who didn't know, I had to smash my IOS away from the tank by the courtesy of a AF bro. Took me 3 nights to clear up the residual silicone and here is what I have ! Happy and satisfied of what I've done, hope that the scape that I'm planning to do will look beautiful as this is the first time I've attempted to do a High-Tech planted tank. The previous time I tried planted was several years back when i was still in secondary school. It does not have fertiliser, good soil, nor CO2. I really hope this time will be a dream come true for me (which is to make a really good looking scape) before I enter the army. (and God knows when I can come back to planted / fish keeping again) For those who want to know about my silicone smashing journal Click Here Will be posting more pictures of my equipments in awhile. |

Looking good so far! I like the look of your tank and i sure hope everything fills in nicely. As for our pics, is it possible for you to rotate them? I don't think you want to post slanted pictures of your planted tank. Hehe

Hi bros, seems like there will be a delay in the pictures.
Today i went to collect all my plants, as I am quite new in planting, my water got extremely cloudy and my bogwood started to float (despite being soaked in HOT water for 2days!) Was really a rough first start as i later found out that my cannister filter valve was leaking and I have to go and get a replacement tomorrow. I really liked my scape a lot (when I look through the murky water). Just hope that everything will settle down and water will become clean. Feel so tired right now and discouraged as I was unable to complete my planting of my background plants due to the murky water |

Hi all !
Finally I'm free to clear up the EXTREMELY-OVER murky water (due to the fact that I did not wash my second-hand lapis sand). Now the water is clearer. (Threw my terrapin in to let it play for awhile :P) Okay, let me cut the crap and here is a photo. Will get clearer pictures once I get hold of a better camera stupid bogwood don't want to sink, so gotta stack a porceline there Lights is currently 2 x 36W + 1 x 30W (anyone can comment whether I should increase my lightings?) CO2 source is from CO2 cylinder, pumping at 3BPS (do I need to leave it on throughout the time or should I off it when there is no light?) Substrate - AZOO base fertiliser + Second-hand Lapis Flora - Foreground: HC, Some crypts (2 species, I don't know what. Will put a clearer picture soon). Wood: Willow moss (doing badly due to yesterday's bad water condition), Anubias Background: MM, others I do not know Fauna: Nil Fertilisers: JBJ Fertiliser / Seachem, Flourish excel (should I add both JBJ fert + Flourish excel? Or only one fertiliser at a time?) Others: Water condition (Seachem), AZOO Probiotics starter Water parameters: currently 29degrees (time to get another fan). Have not bought my test kits so do not know other parameters Here's a picture of my Atomizer by Dymax: |
