I do have pre-filter for my tap, but didn't do any readings before/after. Will have to resort to using software now.

CPO was once popular, but there isn't too much developments in dwarf crayfish, there is not much interest in it then. Besides, I think there were quite a lot of pple who had problem when thes CPO breeds (the babies gets eaten up one by one), thus the CPO hobby soon quieten down. |

Yes, more variety will be good. I saw a red crayfish in 328. But than, i think it could be yabbies (those that wil grow quite big), thus didn't buy them. Maybe I will enquire w the boss next time i go there. Quite nice looking actually.
Also saw a 'blue' one amist the CPO. I would love to have brown, but didn't see them. Will let these CPO i have settle down first, before I decide to try others. Last edited by globalcookie; 28-03-2012 at 11:41 AM. |

Last night, I observed some strange behaviour of my CPO. Initially thought it was just scratching its back.. next, I thought it was preparing to molt. It was bend quite unusually, appeared very tense. Wasn't interested in food....
Couple of hours later (noticed it at 1+am), it was on its side and struggling... decided to video it to share with you guys... WHAT do you think it was doing?

Hehe... that fella there, was pushing its eggs to the swimmerets. First time seeing it with my eyes.
When I first spotted it doing it, there were very few eggs at the tail end, but as I watch, and video, more eggs appeared. That CPO is now hiding under e lava rock. |

28/03/2012, CPO pushing eggs to swimmerets.
14/04/2012, saw 1 CPO baby only. In this case, it took 17 days for eggs to hatch. Observed the section where the preg CPO was kept, and only saw 1 baby (no eggs left in e swmmerets). I wonder if she dropped some eggs over time. |
