"gal" (at least up till now it still looks like its a gal):
just emailed Dr Frederic Chua my link n c if he can help me confirm their gender.: Hi Dr Chua, I'm just wondering if you are able to help me determine the gender of my turtles. After some research on the Internet, i realise that females tend to have a higher carapax compared to males. But my male is having a higher carapax. For most turtles, the ventral of a female is closer to the plastron. However, my boy's ventral is further from its plastron. Now i'm quite confused by their gender. The following link contains pictures of some measurements which i took: http://www.schmike.net/MyTanks/galle...008_12_25_PNTs The first row of images and first 2 images from the left is of the boy. The rest of the images are the one which i suspect is a girl Are we able to determine their gender more accurately by probing? Thanks for your help. Regards, Edwin hope that im not wrong.
