Still good for landed if can hold 10 years. Hdb bto sure earn. Resale hdb 70% can earn if rent out. Condo 50/50 if buy correct ones, if buy wrong ones, 100% lose money.

Get that straight and you be happy. Like any rental unit, landlord can take back unit when he wants, conpensating the tenant at market rate for the uncompleted lease. As a landlord, if can get better rental yield or profit from land redevelopment, why not? "Stakeholder" and "home ownership" : B.S Just a tenant/lessee : get that straight.

The house owns HDB unit "owners.".
And guess who really owns the house? How many % are in public housing? 80% are pawned and GG, uniquely Singapore. The other 20%, don't be too happy. You're just as scr3wed. Eminent Domain : check it out. Ok, let's not get too depressed. Property ownership here still better than buying in Malaysia, hands up those who made money in Malaysia? Lost money? Be thankful you could sell. Good points here : http://www.fivestarsandamoon.com/201...-on-with-life/

Only in Singapore.
We hold the land for the govt even if the tenure is Fee Simple. The airspace above and whatever below belongs to the govt. The owner is just a 'caretaker" even though it is registered and the Cert of Title with the owner's name. |
