I saw one selling at Y618 They have 2 types, liquid & powder. Liquid selling @$10.00 & powder selling @$11.50. I just bought the powder form to try out yesterday.

I don't think it's so much better than anything else.

However, it is effective and I've been using it for years for:
kickstarting filters,
removing algae in ponds(but you need to put quite a lot over a longer period of time like several weeks)
when my filter dies because of something stupid I'd done, it's effective to reduce nitrite and ammonia. I suppose it's because it gets BB installed again and it gets to work immediately.

I also notice(but can't be certain), that there is better clarity to the water. Like it's gone through a sand filter for polishing. But that's in my pond and it may be because a lot of algae on the walls and water have been taken out.

i guess it suppose to work more for indoor rather than outdoor.. after few days it starts to dissolve the algae w the water and become green water.. somehow alges too much clog my filter system...

hmm but it was design to work for outdoor. i guess not. but it work well for my indoor tank. will continue to use it.
